How to effectively use a forum to get good advice - Lesson -1

Well, let's keep it simple and start at the beginning...What is a forum? A forum is kind of a internet meeting place usually filled with people interested in the main topic. Think of it as a big convention room where, if you pay attention and don't step on too many toes, you can get answers to just about any question that you ask. Ok, you may get 50 different answers, but there are ways to tell what is probably the best answer(s).

First you need to join the forum...Some friendly advice, join ours first. I know our members are receptive to new faces and accept "noobs" (newbies - with little or no knowledge on a subject) very nicely and that makes for a more comfortable "first experience"

Don't expect to in one day get the perfect answers to all of your questions from "what is the best dog" to "what is the meaning of the universe"... it is a conversation, a kind of trade of knowledge and etertainment....BE FREINDLY, take a few minutes every day to ease into the group and get to know them while they get to know you. Remember you are the new guy/girl on the block. <more>
